Martinez has played in 32 games in AAA-ball so far this year and he is 39 for 123 (.317 avg, .916 OPS) with 24 runs scored, 6 homers and 26 RBIs.  Martinez has only played in 47 games in his first three years in the majors and he is 24 for 131 (.183 avg, .540 OPS) with 15 runs scored, 2 homers, 12 RBIs and 2 stolen bases.  Martinez is going to get another shot at the show at some point in 2012, if he keeps raking at the plate.</p>

He earned the promotion by pitching in 4 games (all starts) in AA-ball this year and he was 1-2 with a 2.84 ERA and a 1.63 WHIP there.  Cosart has now pitched in 52 games (49 starts) in his first four years in the minors and he is 20-17 with a 3.75 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP.  Cosart came into this season as the Astros&#8217; #2 prospect according to Baseball America.  He was one of the keys in the Hunter Pence deal with the Phillies last July.</p>

The Astros have called up 26-year old righty Enerio Del Rosario to replace Cruz in the bullpen.  Del Rosario has pitched in 11 games (0 starts) in AAA-ball this year and he is 0-1 with a 3.14 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP there.  He pitched in 54 games (0 starts) for the Astros last year and he was 0-3 with a 4.58 ERA and a 1.70 WHIP. He has now played in 76 games in his first two years with the Astros and he is 89 of 295 (.302 avg, .745 OPS) with 39 runs scored, 3 homers, 22 RBIs and 11 stolen bases.  Altuve is going to be a big part of the Astros&#8217; massive rebuilding project in the coming years.</p>

The Astros need to start giving Rodriguez some run support moving forward, so he can get some wins.</p>

He is off to a rock solid start this year for the Astros.  Schafer has played in 17 games for the Astros so far this year and he is 17 of 62 (.274 avg, .762 OPS) with 13 runs scored, 2 homers and 7 RBIs.  He has whiffed 22 times and that&#8217;s way too many, but he has also walked 10 times as he has been getting on base quite a bit at the top of the lineup for the Astros.  They hope he can keep up the good work.</p>

Harrell was a longshot to win a job in the starting rotation, but he earned it in spring training and his success there has carried over into the regular season.
